CrateLog is a record scanning app with full Discogs integration — for vinyl and CD collectors. Point your camera at any record and it identifies the release from the label, even without a barcode. Add to your Discogs collection in seconds, scan while shopping in-store, bulk-import shop receipts, and keep your collection up to date — all from one app.
The core of CrateLog. Point your camera at the center label and the scanner identifies the exact release — vinyl or CD — even without a barcode. Built for fast, accurate cataloging of records the rest of the world can’t scan.
Sign in with your Discogs account to browse, search, add, and manage your collection directly from the app. Every identification flows into your Discogs library.
Drop in a PDF invoice from your favourite record shop and CrateLog matches every line to a Discogs release automatically. Add a whole haul to your collection in one go — no manual searching.
Scanning while crate digging? Switch to In Store mode and every scan shows whether you already own the record, its Discogs demand and market price, and YouTube previews — so you can decide before you buy.
See label, style, era, and collection patterns, plus duplicate checks across your Discogs library.
No ads, no tracking. Credentials are stored in secure device storage. Your data stays yours.
CrateLog combines on-device signal extraction with a machine-vision layer to identify vinyl and CD releases from the center label — even on worn or partial labels, and on pressings without a barcode. Matches are scored against the Discogs catalog and surfaced with a confidence indicator, so you always know how strong the result is before adding it to your collection.
Point your camera at the center label and CrateLog identifies the exact release using machine vision, then lets you add it straight to your Discogs collection. This is the core reason collectors use CrateLog: older, white-label, promo, and underground pressings often have no barcode, so barcode-only scanners can’t catalog them. CrateLog can.
Yes. CrateLog identifies both vinyl records and CDs — from the barcode when one exists, and from the label or sleeve when it doesn’t. Every match can be added to your Discogs collection.
Yes. Connecting your Discogs account, barcode scanning, searching Discogs, and managing your collection are free. The optional Collector subscription (monthly or annual via your app store) unlocks unlimited Smart Scan, Batch Scan, and Invoice Import, which use cloud recognition.
Yes. Switch to In Store mode while digging and each scan shows whether you already own the record, its Discogs demand and market price, and YouTube previews so you can listen before you buy — without committing anything to your collection.
CrateLog combines on-device signal extraction with a cloud machine-vision layer to read the center label — even on worn or partial labels. Candidate matches are scored against the Discogs catalog and shown with a confidence indicator, so you can review the result before adding it.
